What litter do you use for your cats?

At BellaLux we love to use Pretty Litter Kitty litter in combination with our smart litter boxes for our older adult cats. We use the same litter for our babies but in a standard small box until they are big enough to crawl into the bigger smart box.

What do you feed your cats?

At BellaLux our cats and babies are fed a variety of different Royal Canin foods. Mother & Baby Cat dry food & wet food is fed to our Moms & babies during the nursing period. By the time the babies are 10 weeks and ready to go to their furrever home, they will be switching over to the Royal Canin kitten formulas. For extra treats, our babies get boiled chicken with some of the broth throughout the week.

What color kittens do you breed?

Golden Persians- Golden Dollface Persians are fairly rare. They have a tiger like coat coloring with dramatic black eyeliners around their facial features. They are on the smaller side of dollface persians cats typically between 4-9 lbs. fully grown. Their eyes are typically copper, Jade and sometimes blue. Most of our dollface persians have jade colored eyes.

Blue Golden Persians- Blue Goldens are very rare. Similar to the look of a golden, but with a silver imprint in place of the golden highlights you would typically see in a golden. They will still have the dramatic eyeliners around their facial features just like the golden. Eyes will typically be jade or blue.

Silver Chinchilla Persians- Silver Chinchilla Persians are predominately white in color with light silver streaks in their coat. They will also have a dramatic eyeliner around their nose and eyes just like our golden babies do!

How do I get on the list for a specific color kitten?

We are predominately a golden breeder. We do have a king and queen that can produce a blue golden baby occasionally, which will typically run much higher than our golden babies as they are very rare for us. To get on the waiting list, you will need to fill our our waiting list form and put a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold your place in line. Should you chose the baby as they become available, we will credit the deposit amount to your final price.

How old does the kitten need to be to leave our cattery?

We keep our kittens with their moms and littermates until they are 10 -weeks old. If you need us to hold your baby over 11- weeks, you will be charged a boarding fee of $100 per week after.

Why are Dollface Persians so expensive?

Unlike your normal cat, Dollface Persians are purebred and come from champion bloodlines. Persians are commonly sought after for their luxurious coats, unique faces, mellow temperament & short muzzle. Breeders with years of experience may also raise their prices due to their cats features and conditions. A Persians gender, fur color, age, history and lineage can also contribute to the cost.

Do you ship your kittens?

We Do NOT ship our kittens. We will arrange for a kitten to be delivered to a airport of your choice via pet companion. Otherwise, all babies need to be picked up at our location in Carlsbad, CA. We can meet you at one of the local airports for an additional fee.

What should I know before purchasing a Dollface Persian?

Their luxurious and thick coats require regular brushing in order to maintain their sheen appearance. Also its important to note that these cats need a high quality diet, Persians are picky when it comes to their diet, so feed them well. Be sure you have enough money to invest in your new feline friend. Persian cats need a lot of love and attention. They do Not love to be alone for a long period of time. Strongly consider getting them a littermate should you have a normal 9-5 job.

What are some important traits in a Dollface Persian?

Dollface Persians are docile and sweet. With a rather higher intelligence than your average house cat, teaching them tricks may be easier. These cats aren’t as active as other breeds, but they can participate in playtime without any doubt. Our cats are very tolerant while being held, which makes them better with kids.
